Advisory Groups

NACCHO's advisory groups are crucial to the association's work and are an important vehicle for member input.

See the links to the right to download a full list of the committees, teams, and workgroups, a diagram of the groups and their linkages
to the Board, and the list of lead staff contacts.

The committees, teams, and workgroups were restructured in 2006 to better align with both NACCHO's strategic plan and staff organization as well as to increase member involvement in committee activities. Click to view a report or chart describing the structural changes.

Volunteer Service on Advisory Groups

NACCHO’s success as the national voice for local health departments is highly dependent on member participation in advisory groups. Each spring, NACCHO recruits volunteers, and we encourage all who are interested in serving to apply.

The 2008 call for participants formally closed on Friday, May 24. As in the past, there was a strong response with over 150 applications submitted. The 2009 call for participants will open in early April. Please check back then for details on how to apply.
